This wine is put on the market the fifth year after the wine harvest. After a minimum of three and a half years spent in oak casks, follows a period of four months refining in the bottles. This wine has a high alcohol content and should continue to mature with age.

Hewitt Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2011With elegance and suppleness from the persistently cool 2011 growing season, our Cabernet Sauvignon captures the award-winning character of Hewitt Vineyard. The wine's dense core of blackberry, Satsuma plum, black Bing cherry and cassis reveals gorgeous notes of bittersweet chocolate, violet, sarsaparilla and forest earthiness. The firm entry turns plush on the expansive midpalate, while balanced acidity brightens the intense dark-fruit flavors. Warm caramel and mocha notes from new French oak barrels permeate the inviting aromas, richly textured flavors and lengthy finish. The long hangtime of 2011 slowly ripened and softened the grape tannins, making this wine marvelously approachable, yet cellar worthy.
Beaux Freres The Beaux Frères Vineyard Pinot Noir 2014Color - Medium to dark ruby, Body - medium to full. A darker, more brooding and fuller bodied wine, our original estate vineyard Pinot is approachable but ideally will benefit from several years of patience. Clearly one of our best vintages given the richness and purity of the spectrum of red, blue and black fruits on parade and virtually no oak showing despite being raised in about 50% of the finest French oak. Originally Mike farmed it conventionally but about 13 years ago started experimenting with nonconventional farming methods and now our entire property is being farmed using biodynamic principles. We are not certified either organic or biodynamic but we invite you to visit our farm (by appointment please) and see our farming practices firsthand.
